Jen and I have been working on Dark Fiction Magazine for a good old while now and time has come for us to move on. I’ve really enjoyed my stay there but with time constraints getting constrainier, especially for that author I live with (her post here about it), I felt that it was the right moment to move on as my own projects are starting to demand far more hours than I generally have in a day.
I’ve enjoyed narrating, herding other wonderful narrators, editing and producing the episodes and ultimately juggling everything together so it all works as it should. It’s been an interesting process! I’ve worked with some awesome people and I think a special thanks goes to Blane from Shock the Badger for his arty genius.
DFM is heading towards the brilliant Spacewitch people now where they will look after it, feed it and bring even more outstanding incredible to it. It really could not be in better hands. I may still do the odd narration here and there too as I hope all our current narrators can still be tempted to hang around because they are flippin’ skill.
Space Danger, Part 2, is getting closer (apologies for the delay!). Am very keen to get this four part novella series out now, not only because it’s taking far too long for my liking but there are a whole new bunch of people threatening to make me walk the space plank if I don’t hurry up and get their story going sharpish. Seriously, I have a F-cutlass being jabbed into my back as I type this.
That’s pretty much it for updatings. Bearcast is drawing to a close for this series, Soldiers of Tangent is still bobbing along, Near Mint (from Geek Planet Online) should be out soon and I’m cooking a roast today. So there we are!
